We featured this in our Itch.io Holiday Pack that we did recently! It was cool to have some horror content to contrast from the other games in the pack. We both had a great time checking it out! Our gameplay of it starts around 29 minutes in :)
Hello, I enjoyed this game although it was a little short. I like the concept though, just wish there was more to do with the maze. Here's my gameplay:
Got to be honest I'm not really a fan of slow paced games that heavily rely jump scares. Would have been great to have a bit of back story to it like readable notes or news clips. game was a bit wonky slowing me down every time I hit a part of a wall.. But all in all was still a good game to play.
I basically put the camera output on a texture and changed the resolution of that texture down. Then I displayed that texture on the screen. It's really simple no shaders involved!
I will never look at Santa the same way again. No, thank you. I didn't encounter any hiccups or visible bugs. Had fun playing the game, so, thank you guys for making it. Kudos to all involved!
This game was fun! I got lost not know what to do, but I didn't realize the key was just on the nightstand. I wish there was music for when exploring the mansion and being able to explore more hidden secrets. You added a lot of sounds during the maze and those came out pretty good. Keep up the good work! Merry Christmas! It is the second game in this video.

Fun game, quick and scary
a bit slow at the start but deffinatly picked up at the end, pretty good game

im new to game dev. the look you have in this game (assets and such), is it made by some sort of pixel shader or something? i really like this style.
